Say "I Do!" To Bartolotta Weddings

Individuals who work in the restaurant business are a close-knit group. We are family, we deal with stressful situations that bring us closer together, we develop strong relationships with one another, and we are all service-oriented and driven to exceed expectations. Through these relationships, more than 40 marriages have grown among Bartolotta restaurant employees over the past 16 years. Now, we are not sure if that alone qualifies us as wedding experts, but we do think that the more than 300 weddings we host each year does.

Our competent and capable approach to connecting with brides and their families on both a professional and personal level truly embodies the concept behind hospitality. Whether you are looking to impress or de-stress, our experienced event planners from Bartolotta Catering at Boerner Botanical Gardens, The Grain Exchange, Pier Wisconsin, Lake Park Bistro, Bacchus and Harbor House will provide expert consultation to ensure every detail of your day is perfect. Below, we‚ have listed emerging wedding trends we see for 2012.

Green is the New White

  • Natural, spring garden-themed weddings & receptions
  • Eco friendly weddings with recycled-paper invites, burlap table runners, vintage dresses and food from local farms

Make a Game of It

  • Interactive games provided for guests during the cocktail reception such as lawn bowling, croquet, bag toss, etc
  • Photo booths replacing guest books which provides a picture of each guest and special message for the couple

Picturesque Tablescapes

  • Look to nature and the local landscape for reception table decor
  • Elevated centerpieces inspired by architecture and mismatched looks
  • Weddings will showcase regal linens in new and inspired ways with rich, flowing linen and velvet

Think Outside the Church

  • Couples interested in skipping the traditional church ceremony and choosing a beautiful outdoor venue or conducting the ceremony in the same location as the reception venue
  • Savvy, DIY couples with a focus on budget and value
  • Smaller, more intimate weddings rather than large grandiose gatherings.  Allowing the couple to save money on the wedding and have a more extravagant honeymoon

A Royal Affair

  • Pairing out of the box colors to create a shabby chic feel such as poppy, ivory and tan with mocha linens and turquoise blue chairs.

Fine Dining Fare

  • It is becoming more important to couples to provide a dining experience their guests will remember with fare that is reflective of fine dining
  • Late-night food provided to guests during dancing and cocktail hour
  • Tapas and small plates served family-style or at food stations
